Many were minesweepers for the US Navy. In business till 1975, when transitioning from wood to fiberglass, they teamed up with Halmatic LTD from Great Britain to supply their hulls. Halmatic built patrol boats and commercial craft with their over built hulls reportedly able to withstand machine gun fire.
